Anyone’s got advice on how to render bruises in drawings? They’re more difficult than I expected.
A centilady inspired by my muse.
Sketchdump! Again, mostly drawn while waiting for the bus. There’s a few portrait in there. One attempt at drawing Beezy in my looser style, but it didn’t work as expected. One sketch of Tabbs and a self portrait that isn’t too bad considering the state I was in when I drew it.
Based on a conversation with Beezy.
I was looking through old sketchbooks, and found some sketches I had completely forgot about. Always nice, or funny, to stumble upon. The first one was an idea of what Chris could like when older. Your retinas should be thankful that the sketch is in black and white because if this keeps up his clothes are going to keep going brighter and more jarring as he grows old. Also a shoe. I really want to make him wear this kind of shoes but I’m not sure yet if it’s something he would wear.
The second sketch was from a series I had started and have yet to finish. It’s about drawing objects that are important to each character. I had made one I liked a lot about Eric, but it seems to have gotten lost last time I moved. This one is Neven’s one, and half Sébastien’s one too I suppose, since they share so much.
The soccer ball because they’ve been playing soccer since the beginning of elementary school and still love it as much. It’s probably the only sport that Sébastien actually like. They both read a lot. Neven mostly technical books, usually science, mechanic or computer related. While Sébastien has all those interests too, other than what he needs to read for his studies in college, he prefers novels. The motorcycle is not a real one, it’s just a model. As much as they’d like one, especially Neven, they cannot ride one. As the helmets they need to wear would cause important communication problems. The coat doesn’t have much meaning(or maybe it does? I don’t know yet). Neven likes it a lot. I’m still not set on the design yet.
Something I sketched while on holidays. It’s from a dream I had. The head/mask was slightly different but since I preferred to leave it blanker than to add details that weren’t there.
I’m trying to draw and write from my dreams, as I have already expressed that the second chapter of Obsessivity will deal a lot with dreams. I’m pretty sure this thing comes from Beezy’s mind though.
The other day I drew lots of sketches, most of them involving the gods/goddesses Beezy and I have been conversing about. I’m getting really inspired by this concept because there’s so much freedom to be had, and it’s a good reason to draw demons and more or less creepy things(which I’ve missed drawing a lot since I started Obessivity).
Some may be considered slightly NSFW, so click the little arrows or image at your own risk.
When I said I try drawing characters different from Chris because I’m not drawing enough diversity these days… well have another Chris. My subconscious is probably telling me to go back to work on Obessivity, but my short comic is going to well to pause it and risk not going back at it.
I really like this sketch, it’s one of those times you just doodle and it turns as good if not better as drawings you put all your brain in.
And this is Beezy’s goddess version that I drew!
Beezy and I had a conversation that lead to drawing each other as what we’d make ourselves look like if we were to have god powers. This is my version of one of my godly alter ego appearances. If you click the mini arrows on the side you can see other colour ideas. I really like the purple one.
